Aug 5 - Remembering the Prayers That Came Before Us

TODAY'S FOCUS

We remember the four faithful women who prayed and fasted for God to establish this church. Their prayers became part of the foundation upon which we now stand.

TODAY WE CARRY BEFORE THE LORD

We carry the next generation before the Lord. We ask that our children and young people receive more than buildings and programs; may they inherit a living example of prayer, fasting, holiness, surrender, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

LISTEN AND RESPOND

What spiritual legacy am I personally helping to leave?

What do the next generation see when they observe my relationship with God?

Whom can I encourage, teach, mentor, or pray for by name?

PRAYER

Father, thank You for those who prayed before there was any visible evidence of what You would do. Help us not merely admire their legacy but continue it. Make us faithful to tell the next generation what You have done and to demonstrate what it means to seek You wholeheartedly. Let the prayers we pray today become part of the foundation on which others will stand tomorrow.
